Shane Carwin gained success both as an athlete, and a student.
Shane went to Western State where he was a 3x NCAA Division 2
National Finalist, and a National Champion wrestler. He was also a
2x All-American in Football, the 1996 RMAC Football Player of the
year, was invited to participate in the 1998 Senior Bowl as a
linebacker, and also participated in the Indianapolis Combine.
Shane was also a 3x Academic All-American. After graduating from
Western State, he completed his 2nd degree at Colorado School of
Mines where he was an assistant wrestling coach for 2 years. He
then began his career in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). In MMA Shane has
made fast progress with a record of 11-0 and all wins coming by 1st
round stoppages. He just recently got signed to a multi fight deal
with the Ultimate Fighting Championship where he won his debut with
a 44 second knockout. Shane is married to his wife Lani and has a
son named Kamden.
