I feel Shane came in too heavy for this fight, perhaps thinking he needed the extra weight to match up better with Lesnar? This was a mistake, his best weight is about 20 pounds lighter, maybe 240 or so. A 240 lb Shane Carwin would have been able to finish the job in round two rather than the too heavy Shane Carwin that was winded. Again, I think at 240 he is still every bit as powerful, quicker and in better cardiovascular shape...

Steven, to comment on your suggestion of no refs, and fight until you cant move..........Hmmmm. Isn't that what happened in this fight. Jsaon, buddy to say that I don't know jack is a lame statement from you. Obviously you don't believe that because deep down you know that I do know what I'm talking about. I am a true MMA fan not a cheerleader. Whether my guy wins or looses, I have respect for the fighters and the hard work they do in the ring.... but to just go on about some sob story or lame excuse on why someone lost and then get pissed because someone might have offended you because we didn't see something your way.... well who's the one that really doesn't knows crap. Keep on cheering ladies your doing a good job.

not emotional just pointless banter. I just apologized to th elast gentleman if I had insulted him in any way, and now here you are not inputting any useful info or even an intelligent debate just mouthing off. It is totally fine with me though. I do like lesnar as a fighter. I am actually impressed in the fact that the more people hate on him the more he wins. That has to be eating a whole in some people but it is the truth. As a matter of fact guarantee he will win his next fight also against Cain. Cain an accomplished and legit heavy weight, but something tells me that he will lose also. I am a fighting sports fan. MMA, Boxing and any other pugulistic form out there. Seems like you are actually a part time fan with your response. As for Jason, how can you say I dont know what I'm talking about. After all I was correct, like it or not. You dont strike me as a Carwin fan as much as a having sort of a man crush on the guy. I am a fan of the sport and I know that Carwin is an excellent fighter so should I come on here and stroke his ego about how he had Lesnar and teh ref should had stopped it, or how he whooped lesnars ass,........ No. You guys call me a nuthugger then what are you. You are not fans you are the epitamy of nuthuggers. How long can you pat someone on the back and continue to be like ohh dude you had it man, the ref should have done this or that.......... Dude he didnt beat you, you gave that fight away. BLah Blah Blah. The man showed amazing stand up which we all knew he had. What did he do wrong.... the same thing Gonzaga did. No big deal it could had easily went the other way including the Gonzaga fight. But it didn't we move on Shane will come back steam roll the next couple of fighters and get another shot at the title..... So thats the way it is. Posting ignorant comments although may make you feel better won't do much for advancing your knowledge and outlooks on fights. So if you are happy with being Groupies then okay so be it.

I like Shane myself. I knew that my comments would be misinterpretted as being anti-Shane. That was not my goal at all. My favorite boxer is Miguel Cotto and I was really upset when he was handed an ass whoop at the hands of Pacquiao but i cannot in good conscious make any excuses or even tell someone to "F-Off." Mr. Stallings, no matter how hard or heated a debate may get if you can't have a debate with someone without going Psycho and telling them to "F-Off", then maybe you shouldn't be posting. I didn't insult you or Shane Carwin. You just posted out of emotion, and that is what I meant when I said fans do to much emotional officiating thats all. I apologize if you were offended in any way.

Well if you consider your posts ignorant i guess. Mine definitley was on the fight and the lack of experience for anyone outside of the ring to consider themselves experts in calling a fight. Pro ref do not make calls on emotions they are there only and only to protect a fighter... which means a fighter must be in trouble of serious bodily harm. Okay lets move on.
Nathan Stallings Comment by Nathan Stallings on July 28, 2010 at 5:22am
I never claimed it was an analysis. It was a timeline. This is going nowhere fast. You have your opinion and I have mine. Can we agree to disagree? Cuz this is becoming less and less about the fight and more and more about ignorant assumptions about posters....

No you dont have integrity because you shoulda checked your facts before just coming on here commenting. Oh and now that I called you out with facts now you watched the fight again and saw what I meant. I have to wonder if you ever saw the fight to begin with...or just went of off everyother so called MMA fans nuthugging comments about how lesnar lost. Again this makes me upset because it makes me seem like anti-Carwin which I am certainly not. Dude has much game and I guess he does not need me to tell him that. No dillusions my friend (1) lesnar got his ass whooped the 1st round.... Hell.. i dont even have to say it..... lesnar said it himself........ but again he was not out. He kept moving when the Ref told him to. Josh Rosenthal is an excellent ref and he even said he was telling Lesnar to move and lensar acknowledged by moving. Ya he was still getting worked but he acknowledged the ref. Lesnar began running so what he wasn't hurt he admits he hates to get hit. So you tell me that if any fighter gets hit and runs to avoid another hit he is done fight should be called............Uhm although running is kinda weak it is by no means a loss. Hell I see lots of fighters getting rocked just to lay on their back "in my opinion a b**** move ", and call it Jiu Jitsu. Stop with the no intellegent defense cooments. The ref even said he wasn't stopping the fight because he saw lesnar was still in it. Dude you are not qualified by no means to be a ref to even have an opinion of what a ref should have done. This is a sanctioned fight not a street brawl where your buddies jump in to stop a fight cause you got rocked. Wow then you go on to say to lesnars credit he did this or that weak or better and so on........ that alone tells me that you are wrong to think it should have been stopped. I guess you wanted the fight to be stopped in Lesnar vs Mir 1..... when Brocked had the dude all but put to sleep????????? No because even I knew that mir was still coherent although getting his ass kicked,, so much so that he was able to pull off a submission. I'm glad you are not a Ref. There goes your proof that it was a good call I have more if you need um. So i can back all my crediblity up but obviously you had to see the fight again and try to re-analyze the fight again...(which in my opionion you did a poor job of doing) All you did was spew out what happened but at no point was lesnar out......... and I dont mean out like knocked out which I saw in your statement earlier is the way you took it.. When I say out I mean a fighter is out of the fight. He.......was.......not.
