What About Shane Carwin brought you tot his site?

I'm a co-worker of his sister-in-law. She was working on one of my projects and found out I am an MMA fan. She pointed me to Shane and his amazing journey.

Who will Shane Fight to get to the Top

Knowing he'll destroy Gonzaga, he'll fight either Nog after Gonzaga or maybe even the loser of the Lesnar/Mir fight to get to the title fight. I hope they don't put Herring in front of him. Herring doesn't have the heart anymore and would take a 15 minute ass kicking just like he did with Lesnar. Shane definitely has at least one more fight after Gonzaga because Kongo is next in line for the shot and the timing isn't right. Then again, it may depend on how badly he beats up Gonzaga. If it's a close fight or goes to decision, then definitely at least one more fight after Gonzaga, probably two. However, if he completely DESTROYS Gonzaga, the next fight might be against Kongo for the #1 contender spot...and we'll probably see Gonzaga losing 30 lbs to get drop to 205.

Update to my earlier predictions:
Ok. I knew Shane would beat Gonzaga, but 69 seconds? That's an old fashioned ass whoopin! So, a couple of things have changed in the UFC HW division that caught my attention so I need to update my predictions. The UFC doesn't seem to be behind Kongo in marketing and he's only ranked in the low to mid 20's depending on the source. So, Kongo's out for the HW title for now. Nog will end up fighting Couture, not for title contention but the UFC seems to be on a trend to match-up legends with each other for marketing and PPV sales. Cain Velasquez seems to be getting some UFC attention and is reportedly fighting Herring at UFC 99 (I see Velasquez winning in Rd. 2 by submission). So, my updated prediction is that Shane will fight the winner of the Herring vs. Velasquez fight to determine the top contender for the UFC HW title. I don't see either Herring or Velasquez as a real threat to Shane. Mir vs. Lesnar will be at UFC 100 in July. So, I see Shane fighting again in the fall (UFC 104?) for the #1 contender spot, then for the title in early 2010. Then again, I could be wrong. It's happened before ya' know?

Who is your favorite fighter?

Given my predictions, I'd say either very late 2009 or early-mid 2010.
