Shane needs a nick name...

Shane Carwin is a monster. I honestly think a nick name would spark his popularity and get him to be a house hold MMA name. Being a hardcore fan, I know most all fighters by there real names but I have noticed my friends who are all casual fans only seem to remember nick names like "The Axe Murderer", "The Iceman", etc. It may seem cheesy but it honestly helps build character and retention in fight fans.

How about Shane "Conan" Carwin. Or Shane "The Conquerer" Carwin.

Any thoughts?

What do you have against engineers? As far as I know, there aren't any other practicing engineers fighting in the UFC.

Yes I am a Engineer and more importantly my FANS selected that name for me. I am proud to have it. Lord knows being a Engineer feed my boy and I when sports would not.

I like the one UFC has already given him. The Engineer........ Almost like sand bagging if you know what that means.

"the engineer" is one of the few guys in the UFC that could make decent money without fighting! not to bring down other UFC guys too much but Shane is for sure one of the smarter ones in the biz

Shane "The Destroyer" Carwin. It fits, he destroyed opponents all in the first rounds, nobody ever has this kind of record, 12 in a row. I believed that nick is much more marketable than "the engineer" sounds plain and boring. I really hope you keep up the streak of 1st round wins, it adds more value to your name.
