discipline and respect were the first things i learned when learning karate and tae-kwon-do. it isn't just an eastern culture thing, it is a part of ALL sports as well as cultures.
take care of yourselves. Stuff like Vitamin C and D are important for everyone, including MMA fighters. personally, i sometimes get half my C from juice and D from the sun and a vitamin D mouth spray. jus lookin out.
How can anyone not like this Carwin guy? I think that one word comes to my mind after listening to the above mentioned Shane Carwin interview. The word is "Genuine". Which is a bonus to his recognized outstanding fighting abilities. I didn't know that he was training with Nate Marquardt, but Wow, to be sure Nate is one of my most idolized fighters. I remember seeing Nate Marquardt in one of his recent fights and the word impressive really does not adequately describe is physique. More particularly Nate's back was unbelievably impressive. There is absolutely no doubt that this guy does have his training regime in total order for him to have maximized his physique to that high a level of development. If the cliche, "one is only as good as those who he surrounds himself by" is of any veracity, Shane Carwin's future in the MMA certainly is in good shape.
