I never thought I'd see Frank Mir with nothing to say : http://www.ifight365.com/2010/02/frank-mir-talks-about-%E2%80%9Clik...

“In the Shane Carwin fight, honestly it’s not that I’m down playing anything or not trying to get into his head. I’m looking for different
angles and honestly to my disadvantage, he doesn’t have a lot of fight
time on footage. He stays pretty reserved, and in a lot of ways he’s a
likeable guy. He’s a tough competitor. He keeps himself kind of on the
straight path. There’s really nothing bad for me to say about him.”

Frank talks a lot of smack.  He's a good fighter, no doubt, but it is clear that he is most easily beaten with striking (this is good for Shane).  His ability to absorb striking damage is suspect.  I expect he will try to employ a strategy similar to the way Lesnar handled him in their last fight... keep the contact close and wait for an opening.

I was not surprised that Mir submitted Kongo.  I was surprised, however, at how quickly he tagged Kongo and didn't seem to be at a disadvantage with striking.  I don't know that Mir is faster than Kongo... it could have been a lucky punch or Mir may have found the opening he alluded to in the post-fight interview.
